The Papadopoulos Family in Jim's studio.

About FORMA

Molly and Jim Papadopoulos started FORMA to slow down and make long lasting objects.

Molly keeps FORMA honest and on course: her design sensibility drives the business forward. With a degree in Arts Management and 15+ years in the retail industry, her experience with customer-first, future-focused planning is a critical asset to the continued success of FORMA. She enjoys everything outdoors with her family and long walks on any beach.

Jim is an artist and furniture maker born on the Southside of Chicago. He received his BFA in painting and sculpture from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his MFA in Visual Studies from the Pacific Northwest College of the Arts in Portland, Oregon. Jim has been making art objects for the better half of 18 years and honed his woodworking, finish carpentry, and welding skills working for high-end furniture companies in Chicago, Illinois, and Paoli and Madison, Wisconsin.

Jim worked with fellow artist Richard Judd in Paoli, WI, learning the ins and outs of the bent plywood lamination process.  Molly and Jim had the unique opportunity to carry on Richard Judd’s furniture designs as he retired and now travels the globe. The RJF Legacy Collection is rooted in architecture’s rich history of modern furniture design. The combination of bent plywood and exotic veneer designs are one-of-a-kind. The RJF Legacy Collection includes shelving, coffee tables, consoles, benches, and sculptures that are custom made to order only through FORMA.
